A manufacturing plant was facing severe problems due to very high turbidity, suspended solids, mud particles and colloidal contamination in borewell water. The existing sand filter was getting choked quickly, requiring frequent backwashing every few hours, resulting in:

• Excessive water wastage during backwash

• Pressure drop across filters

• RO feed instability

• Cartridge filter choking

• High SDI in RO feed water

• Frequent RO membrane fouling and cleaning

• Increased downtime and operating cost

The raw water became highly turbid especially during rainy season and borewell disturbance, making the conventional filtration system ineffective.

Our Solution by Filtriva Water Systems

After detailed water analysis, we designed a multi-stage turbidity reduction system:

Installed Treatment Process:

Raw Water Tank → Hydrocyclone Separator → Coagulation Dosing → Clarifier → Multi Grade Sand Filter → Activated Carbon Filter → Micron Cartridge Filter → RO Plant

For extreme turbidity applications, we also used:

• Lamella Clarifier

• Tube Settler

• Automatic Self Cleaning Filter

• UF (Ultrafiltration) System

• Multi Media Filtration with graded media
